To-Do List for a Great Day (and a Great Life)
We are the result of our daily habits. The little things we do on a daily basis compound over time to deliver the life we want (or not).
Therefore I have created a daily to-do list that, if done regularly, will create a meaningful life in the long run. This list is specific to me, but you can use any of the habits you like and customize for your own daily checklist.
Drink Coffee
Coffee is one of life’s simple pleasures, in my opinion. I am happier with a cup of coffee in my hand and it makes an ideal start to the day. It’s a nice bonus that coffee helps you live longer and stave off dementia. I drink 2 cups every morning.
Stretch
Muscles tend to become tighter and less flexible as you age. I added a daily stretching practice a couple years ago and it has greatly improved my life. I now do a 30-minute full body stretch every morning and this habit has been transformative.
Exercise
I exercise every day for the cognitive and mood-enhancing benefits. Just 30 minutes of exercise (for me, usually in the form of running outside) improves my thinking and productivity for the rest of the day. That is why I always work out in the morning — it makes the rest of the day go better.
